Background

Mnqobokazi Qhubekani Community Trust (MQCT) has once more sustain its slogan “Drastically bridging social transformation of Mnqobokazi Community” by an unbelievable 20 young people being awarded bursaries to pursue their studies in tertiary Institutions around South Africa.

This financial aid is aimed at empowering disadvantaged and hopeless homesteads and also fighting against poverty and unemployment in the Mnqobokazi catchments. The future seemed to be bright for the community provided the Donors recognize the need of the disadvantaged communities.

Departments & Dignitaries who were invited were as follow:

Inkosi S.K. Ngwane (for Mnqobokazi Community), Mrs. Zikhali (Umnqobokazi Primary School where the event was hosted)

Department of Rural developments (This is the department that brought back the land of Mnqobokazi Community. Mr. also emphasized that the Trust has been noted as one of those scoring high when detecting from what they have done for the community so far. By that reason he promised that there is still a budget for the Trust aimed at maximizing job creation, skills opportunities and advanced education for all people of Mnqobokazi),

Department of Education (District Director, Mr.…..who was a guest speaker for the day as well as University of Zululand Mr.),

Department of Nature Conservation (Phinda, Mr. B. Ntuli was also unpacking bursary opportunities for all carrier categories)

Department of Health (Mr. T.P. Mdluli from Mseleni Hospital also invited the community to apply for health science bursaries opportunities that the KZN department of health as well as Umthombo Youth Development offers)
